Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s Season 2 refresh is almost here and Treyarch has laid out everything fans can expect when it goes live on Thursday. Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 began back in January and added a wealth of new 6v6 multiplayer maps and weapons, a new Zombies map, and more. Season 2 Reloaded is looking to add even more new content to the game to help hold fans over until Season 3.
When a new full season of Call of Duty goes live, the content map usually outlines which maps and modes will be part of the mid-season refresh. What these content maps don’t divulge though, are some of the big collabs Call of Duty brings to the table. This season, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collab was heavily rumored before it was officially confirmed last week. Judging by Call of Duty‘s Black Ops 6 Reloaded details, there’s certainly much more at play than just the four operator packs.
Just two days ahead of launch, Call of Duty went ahead and detailed everything that’s set to come to Black Ops 6 as part of Season 2 Reloaded on Thursday, February 20. Multiplayer fans will be able to enjoy two new 6v6 maps. One of them, Grind Ooze, is a remaster of Black Ops 2‘s skate park map decked out in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle decor. The other is an all-new map named Bullet, a close-quarters arena set on a high-speed bullet train. As for weapons, Season 2 Reloaded is adding the D1.3 Sector, a sawblade-launching sidearm, along with several TMNT-themed ninja melee weapons to accompany the heroes in a half-shell.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Reveals Season 2 Reloaded
- Start Date: Thursday, February 20
While no new map will be added for the Season 2 refresh, Zombies fans won’t be completely left out in the cold, as The Tomb map will receive its guided Directed Mode. Zombies will also receive one of several new Season 2 Reloaded events, called Cowabunga Cranked. The TMNT-themed Zombies mode will have players scrambling to kill zombies before a timer hits zero. Season 2 Reloaded’s other events include the Turtle Power limited-time Moshpit mode complete with an event pass, and the St. Patrick’s Day-themed Clover Craze event which will begin on March 13 and roll through the end of Season 2.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6′s Season 2 Reloaded looks to be a total celebration of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with playable operators, the themed Grind Ooze map and Zombies event, the Turtle Power Moshpit mode, and an event pass packed with earnable cosmetics. There’s still a long way left to go until Season 3, and it seems Call of Duty has made it a whole lot more enticing for players to stick around until then.
