Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Blackcell owners will receive extra daily challenges with the launch of Season 3, publisher Activision has confirmed. The controversial Blackcell Battle Pass is returning once again with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 3, with even more rewards and benefits for players to get their hands on throughout the upcoming season.
Earlier this week, Activision unveiled Call of Duty Season 3, revealing all of the new content, improvements, and features coming to Black Ops 6 and Warzone on April 2 and 3. After delaying the launch of the new season by two weeks, fans will finally be able to jump into the massive content update in just a few days’ time. While Black Ops 6 players will be able to check out new multiplayer maps, modes, and more, Warzone fans will finally be going home as the game’s very first Battle Royale map is making its triumphant return. Unfortunately, due to the sheer size of Season 3, Warzone will be offline between April 2 and 3 in preparation for Verdansk’s return.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Blackcell Owners Will Receive Extra Daily Challenge
In a recent blog post revealing the full Season 3 roadmap for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone, Activision also unveiled a brand-new feature for Blackcell Battle Pass owners. With the launch of Season 3, anybody who owns the Blackcell Battle Pass will receive extra daily challenges for the duration of the season. These challenges will be available for Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone, giving players the chance to earn even more XP than usual. An image showcasing the new feature displays the usual daily challenges UI with a gold Blackcell challenge granting an additional 7,500 XP for 15 headshots.
Call of Duty‘s Blackcell Battle Pass was introduced back in 2023 during the life cycle of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0. Unlike the standard Battle Pass, Blackcell can only be purchased via an actual cash transaction, but it comes with a ton of extra content and benefits. New features have been added to the Pass regularly, with one of the most recent changes introducing an XP loyalty bonus that increased with each season. Players who purchase the Blackcell Battle Pass every single season will receive an additional 10% XP boost for each season. This means that by the beginning of Season 6, fans will have a 50% XP boost in Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
To obtain the Blackcell Battle Pass, players will need to fork out $29.99 USD, but they will then receive the current season’s Battle Pass, 20 tier skips, 1,100 COD Points, and many other additional benefits. Despite coming with so many extra pieces of content, Call of Duty’s Blackcell Battle Pass often causes controversy. When Activision introduced the loyalty bonus scheme with Season 2, fans blasted the feature as “disgusting” and “disrespectful.” If past controversies are anything to go by, fans likely won’t be happy about the extra daily challenges being granted to Blackcell owners with Season 3.
