Another year, another Call of Duty and despite players still enjoying all the content MW3 and Warzone have to offer, rumors and leaks regarding Call of Duty 2024 continue to surface.
Although it won’t arrive until later in the year, the premium CoD entry following MW3 is expected to take players back to the Black Ops series. Here’s everything we know about CoD 2024 so far, including the expected title, developers, setting, Zombies mode, and more.
Call of Duty 2024 expected title
Call of Duty 2024 is expected to be called Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War, according to Windows Central and Insider Gaming. Of course, plans can always change so we’ll have to wait for the official reveal to know more.
Following the previous Black Ops CoD title, set during the Cold War, the dev team is set to continue navigating through historic events.
Call of Duty 2024 release window
Call of Duty 2024 is expected to be launched in October 2024 after Inverse reported Xbox’s Phil Spencer told employees “it would be safe to assume another Call of Duty was coming this October.” This has also been reported by Insider Gaming.
This falls in line with the usual release pattern with recent Call of Duty games arriving in either late October or early November.
Call of Duty 2024 developers
It’s all but confirmed that Treyarch will be developing Call of Duty 2024. The return of Treyarch as lead dev team was first reported by Bloomberg on January 22, 2023, and has been corroborated by several sources.
However, Raven Software is also set to be part of the game’s development, as Insider Gaming reported that the team behind Warzone will reportedly take over CoD 2024’s campaign.
