Best C9 loadout in Black Ops 6

Best C9 loadout in Black Ops 6

The C9 is shaping up to be a top-tier SMG in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, but building it correctly is key to maximizing its potential. We’ve put together the ultimate C9 class loadout, complete with recommended attachments, perks, and equipment for optimal performance.

Following player feedback, Treyarch adjusted the Jackal PDW’s damage range after it outperformed ARs during the first beta weekend. While the Jackal remains a viable option at launch, the C9 stands as a solid multiplayer choice. Here’s the best way to set up the C9 for success in Black Ops 6.

Best C9 loadout attachments in Black Ops 6

  • Muzzle: Ported Compensator
  • Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
  • Stock: No Stock

This loadout is designed to enhance firepower and mobility while maintaining the balance that makes this weapon a fan favorite.

We start by equipping the Ported Compensator, which helps control recoil and improves shot accuracy, making it easier to stay on target. Pairing this with the Reinforced Barrel boosts damage range and bullet velocity, ensuring you can handle medium-range engagements more effectively.

Next, the Ranger Foregrip is essential for addressing two key areas: it enhances sprint and movement speed while also reducing horizontal recoil, providing better control and agility in combat.

The Ergonomic Grip is crucial for maximizing responsiveness, offering significant improvements to Slide-to-Fire, Dive-to-Fire, and ADS (Aim Down Sight) speeds. This is especially beneficial when utilizing omnimovement mechanics, giving you an edge in fast-paced skirmishes.

To complete the build, the No Stock attachment is a game-changer, boosting overall movement speed, particularly strafing speed. This allows you to sidestep enemy fire and move fluidly during gunfights, gaining the upper hand through quick, evasive maneuvers.

Some players might prefer swapping the Ported Compensator for a magazine attachment like the Extended Mag or Flip Mag. However, with this setup, the need for extra ammo is minimal, as the increased control and mobility keep you competitive in most situations.

The C9 is a great SMG for mobility.

When building out the rest of your C9 class, prioritizing speed and stealth is essential. As an SMG user, your aim is to engage and disengage quickly, staying one step ahead of your opponents.

To achieve this, we’ve selected a range of perks that, while not offering a Combat Specialty, enhance mobility and make you a hard target to track down. Our focus for attachments was on eliminating the C9’s weaknesses, but for perks and equipment, we zeroed in on increasing mobility and maintaining stealth for effective flanking.

For Perk 1, Ghost ensures you stay off enemy minimaps, allowing you to move undetected across the map. In the Perk 2 slot, Fast Hands enables quicker weapon swaps, which can be the difference between life and death during close encounters.

Perk 3 is Double Time, a must-have for SMG setups, as it extends your Tactical Sprint duration, boosting mobility. Perk 4, unlocked with the Perk Greed Wildcard, is Ninja, which silences your footsteps, making it easier to sneak into enemy territory undetected.

Our chosen perk configuration does not provide a Combat Specialty, as trying to align perks from the same category doesn’t yield the best results for this loadout’s objectives.

While the Enforcer Combat Specialty offers a temporary boost to movement speed and health regeneration, the perks needed to activate it in the Perk 1 and 2 slots didn’t fit our current selections, which are designed for maximum mobility and stealth.

For equipment, the Stim Shot is perfect for aggressive players, as it heals wounds and refreshes Tactical Sprint, allowing you to stay in the action longer. Semtex Grenades are an effective choice for forcing enemies out of cover and securing kills.

Lastly, the Acoustic Amp Field Upgrade, though not widely used, amplifies enemy footsteps, providing crucial intel during intense situations, making it an invaluable asset in clutch moments.

C9 SMG pros and cons

Where is the C9 in the Black Ops 6 meta?

The C9 occupies a tricky spot as a versatile SMG that doesn’t excel in any specific area. While some SMGs offer superior handling and mobility, others pack a stronger punch in terms of damage output. Nevertheless, as the first SMG you unlock in Black Ops 6, it remains a popular choice among players early on.

For those seeking higher firepower, other SMG options are more effective. While the C9 is a reliable weapon, it doesn’t rank among the top-performing SMGs available.

The Jackal PDW is a formidable option, but shortly after launch, the KSV has emerged as the preferred SMG for many players.

How to unlock C9 in Black Ops 6

The C9 becomes available as soon as you unlock custom loadouts at Level 4, making it one of the quickest weapons to access in the game. Just play a few matches to reach the necessary level, and you’ll be able to add this SMG to your loadouts.

Best C9 alternatives

If the C9 isn’t your style, the Jackal PDW and Tanto .22 are excellent alternatives. The Jackal excels in close-quarters combat, featuring top-tier mobility and handling for fast-paced engagements.

On the other hand, the Tanto .22 provides a different experience, firing at a slower rate than other SMGs but delivering powerful damage, making it highly effective in medium-range skirmishes.
