Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded is underway bringing a new multiplayer map, however, many players are curious as to whether MW2 2022’s maps are available within SHG’s title. Here’s all you need to know about it.
MW3 Season 1 Reloaded has finally arrived featuring the new Rio multiplayer 6v6 map, several audio improvements, fresh weaponry including the HRM-9 SMG and TAQ Evolvere LMG, and more.
However, with the inclusion of the Carry Forward feature, fans are wondering when the MW2 maps will return to MW3. Here’s everything you need to know about the MW2 2022 maps carrying over to Modern Warfare 3.
Are MW2 2022 maps available in MW3 multiplayer?
Activision officially confirmed that MW2 2022 maps are available in MW3’s multiplayer, further expanding the 6v6 map roster and allowing players to enjoy a wide variety of maps.
Additionally, the dev team shared the selection including the fan-favorite Farm 18, Mercado Las Almas, Crown Raceway, Shoot House, and Breenbergh Hotel which are all playable in MW3 thanks to a dedicated MWII Moshpit playlist.
As described in a blog post, the MW2 maps have retained their original graphical appearance from MW2. However, due to the innovations and changes in movement and gameplay mechanics introduced by SHG, players may notice a substantial shift in the way these maps are experienced.
Fortunately, the inclusion of MW2 maps won’t come at the expense of the new and remastered maps scheduled to be introduced throughout Modern Warfare 3’s life cycle.
This means that players will have a wide array of diverse maps to explore in the multiplayer mode. It’s important to note, that the new MW3 game modes like Cutthroat won’t be available on MW2 2022 maps.
